The incoming, pre-heated, surface -, well – or salty water (raw material) is directed via a circulation pump towards a heat exchanger. In this heat exchanger the pre-heated water will be heated till about 80° – 90°C . This can be reached by pumping the raw water through the demister back into the heat exchanger in circling. In the demister the re compression pump will suck away the vaporous water. In this part approx. 70% – 80% of the raw material is condensed and 20% – 30% will leave the system in a brine discharge.
The recompression pump forces the condensate of water through the heat exchanger, which causes it to cool down and return to purified liquid.
